The switchgear comprise of structure o ponds, metal sheets, and metal frames, all of them earthed according to the “metal-enclosed†definition and complying with requirements of IEC 60298 (62271-200) It comprises four independent compartments in accordance with the “metal-clad†definition given by the IEC standards in force.

The switchgear is of LSC2b (Loss of Service Continuity Category) types as defined by IEC standard 62271-200, in other words the medium voltage parts are compartmented using metal partitions (PM class) which are connected ti earth and which separate: The busbars The withdrawable part (circuit-breaker, fuse-contactor, disconnector truck or earthing truck), MV connections, earthing switch, current sensors and voltage transformer as required
